William Alvin 'Bill' BarclayFuneral services for William A. 'Bill' Barclay Jr, 88, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Silsbee with a military graveside service following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at Farmer Funeral Home.

Mr. Barclay died January 7, 2013 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

A native of Call, Bill was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He retired after many years from Silsbee State Bank as president. Mr. Barclay was a member of and active in several civic organizations. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Hicks Barclay, baby daughter Janet Fay Barclay, parents Agnes Bacon Barclay and William A. Barclay Sr and sisters, Ruth Bradshaw and Mary Delaune.

He is survived by his sons Daniel Barclay and wife Kathryn and Harry Barclay and wife Elizabeth, all of Orange; grandchildren Kimberly, Jason, Jennifer, Larissa, Brett, Gregory and Brittany and eight great grandchildren.

My deepest sympathy to each of you. I have fond memories of Mr. Barclay. I always enjoyed getting to chat with him at church when I would be home. I will miss him. Thoughts and prayers to each of you. I am sorry for your loss. Linda

Thoughts and prayers for the Barclay family. Bill was a dear family friend to both the Wilson's and the Neyland's. So sorry to hear of his passing. Such a kind man, and great citizen of Silsbee.
