Jackie L. Reedy, 82, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Friday January 25, 2013 at home. He was born September 25, 1930 in Raleigh County, WV, son of the late Richard and Martha Reedy. He was preceded in death by one sister Margaret Peg Wort of Silver Springs, MD. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Dewanda King Reedy; one sister Ruth Rathburn of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one daughter Michelle Reedy of Proctorville, Ohio; one stepdaughter Yvonne (Bob) Christiansen of Sanford, NC; three sons Toney Reedy of South Carolina, Kim (Patricia) Reedy of San Diego, CA, and Brent (Afton) Reedy of Proctorville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, two very special grandchildren Brenna and Jackson Reedy. He was a retired welder from ACF Industries and also worked for The Herald Dispatch. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great friend. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday January 29, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home by Rev. Bob Hogsett. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be conducted 6 to 8 p.m. Monday January 28, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
