I knew Ernie and his dad my whole life; of course, his dad and later Ernie Jr arranged services for all our relatives. We were in school together and shared many friends.

I am so sorry for the death of such a wonderful man. He has been part of ours and many others families! The true measure of a man is found in the lives he has touched and Ernie and his family have touched many, many lives, it is literally unmeasurable. I know his family will carry on under these sad circumstances, but there is no way to replace this wonderful man, he shall be greatly misssed! Thank you Ernie for all the love and kindness you have given to many during your lifetime!

I was a classmate and friend of Ernie at Fairland High School class of 1966. I will always remember him as one of the best human beings I ever met. The last time I last saw Ernie was in 1991, when I briefly visited Proctorville. I had changed much because of my military service in Southeast Asia and Europe during the 1960s and 70s, but Ernie never changed. I'm sad that he's gone and I wish I'd spent more time in his company.

To Corinda and family, Just want you to know that we are truely saddened by the passing of Ernie. Ernie was a remarkable man and I believe the Lord wanted us to learn from Ernie, his ways, in how people should treat others. He was the kindest, gentle man I have ever met. Hall funeral home will never be the same and Proctorville lost a great man, but I'm sure of one thing, when God said, "Enter in my Precious child!" the saints sang and there was rejoicing in heaven that day. May you find comfort in knowing he will "always" be with you! God Bless You in this time"

Grounded in Faith and Love and it is obvious that it is being carried down to Ernie's granchildren as well! I consider it an honor to have known Big Ernie and I am privileged to call the Hall's - MY FRIENDS! God has truly blessed this family. Clorinda, Ernie, Ericca, Evan -- I am sorry to hear of Big "E" passing. He always had a smile on his face and had a love for life like no other. He was always very thoughtful with his remarks and very kind. I remember him helping me through so much and many times in my life where I need a little extra guidance from someone other than my parents. Heaven is a much better place today with the Big Guy there. I will never forget him and he will always have a special place in my heart. I loved talking to him at the Marshall basketball games and just seeing him at all the different sporting events knowing how much he cared for all those who were taking part. He will be missed dearly by the entire community.

My deepest condolences to the entire Hall family. When I think about what few people there are to admire in this world, the Hall family definitely rises to the top of the list. There has never been a kinder and more generous family, and the legacy that Ernie has left is definitely one for the ages. For all the years and endless hours your family has helped everyone else, I pray that you will now receive the same support, care, concern, and compassion from those of us whose lives you have touched. We appreciate you, and are thankful for all that your family has accomplished in our community. May God bless you, and hold you close until you meet again.

I like to believe that when we lose someone close to us they still live through us and give us strength. The time we have spent with those we've lost makes them part of us. Words do an injustice in explaining how much we will miss Ernie. He will remain very alive in our memories and admiration. We have felt blessed to have known him. I can't imagine losing a blessing like Ernie. May God provide your family with enough strength to face these difficult times, although no words can really help to ease the loss your family bear's, just know that you are very close in our thought's and prayer's.

Hall family, we are deeply saddened to hear about Ernie's passing. He was such a nice person, always smiling. He touched so many lives. No matter how much time we spend with loved ones or how much we appreciate them, it will never seem like it was enough. Ernie always talked about him and my husband Tom and Buddy Fry working on the Emergency Squad together. He always asked how I was doing as well as all my family too. So sorry for you loss. He will be missed. Grief creates exhaustion. We are tired most of the time if not all the time. Remember to find the time to feed your soul. Take care, Peggy Galloway

It just broke my heart when my Uncle (Rick Pauley) told me that Earnie had passed away. He was sych a sweet man...and was always so caring and passionate with the families of people who had lost their loved ones. I knew his Daddy...and over the years got to know Ernie as well. I could always count on a smile and a big hug every time I saw him. The world has lost a wonderful person....he will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.....

All day long I could not get Ernie Hall off my mind. From the moment of silence we took to honor this great man at our youth league tourney today until this moment I have reflected on how this man has touched the lives of far to many people to try and attempt to count. Watching those Hall #33 Lil Lady Dragon basketball players power through this day is just what Ernie would have loved! The comfort that this man has afforded me on a pesonal level will never be forgotten--not to mention the jump shot advice I got from him when I was a skinny little high school girl. I love you Ernie Hall--rest in peace you are truly one of the greatest men I know. I only hope the entire Hall family will experience just a little bit of the comfort that they all have shown to us during this difficult time..................

I'm so sorry about Ernie. Im Debi Ethel Adkins daughter. I think mom was Ernies cousin, anyway we always looked forward to a Christmas card every year to see his beautiful grandchildren that I know he was so proud of. Ernie was always good to our family and Clorinda always kept in touch with my mom and grandmother Olivia Turner through out the years. I pray God gives you peace through this difficult time in your life. May God shine down upon you all. Maybe Ernie can say hi to my mommy. RIP Ernie Hall you will be missed by many.

Prayers for God to lift you up and give you strength. We love all of you and he left this world knowing what an awesome family he had molded. Love all of you
