Funeral services for Mary Virginia Hargraves, 70, of Kountze, will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with interment following in Old Hardin Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm until time of service.
Mrs. Hargraves died February 14, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Zavalla, Mrs. Hargraves was a longtime resident of Kountze. She worked as secretary of the First Baptist Church of Kountze for many years.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Joe Herbert Hargraves, daughter Deborah Staley, sisters Dorothy Jean Meyers and Nancy Ann See and brother James Jordan.
She is survived by son Wesley Staley of Carriere MS; brothers John McDowell and wife Mary of Pearland, Joe McDowell and wife Patricia of Beaumont and Douglas McDowell and wife Donna Jean of Alvin and grandchildren Lauren Staley and Kevin Staley.
