I'm so sorry to learn of Mary Alice's passing. My parents, Harry and Delores Scott were always very fond of Mary Alice and Goble, having shared many common experiences during World War II. Rest in peace, Mary Alice. If any members of her family wish to contact me or my family, we would welcome the opportunity to reminisce.

My heartfelt sympathies to the Caudill family. Mary Alice was so special to all of us girls at the Beta Phi Phi Mu house. She took such good care of us and we all loved her.

My deepest sympathies go out to Mary Alice's family. I originally knew Mary Alice as the cook at Phi Mu. As I grew to know her better she became a confidante and counselor for all of us there. RIP Mary Alice and my sincerest prayers go out to her family!

I was saddened when I seen that Mary Alice had passed...I got to work with her at the senior center years ago...I learned alot from Mary, and her humor just made the days go by much easier...especially for those of us who were new to the program..It was an honor to know such a head strong and hard working woman like her...may she rest in peace and I pray her family finds comfort in our God to get them through these sad circumstances...R.I.P. my dear old friend, you will be missed.

Goble and Family: I am so sorry for your loss...I enjoyed many lunches and dinners at the Phi Mu Fraternity house when Mary Alice was our cook. She was a great friend and always looked after us, like another Mom. Please find peace in knowing that she has gone to be with the Lord and that she will always be with us in our hearts.

Dear Peggy and Sandra,
Bill and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. We began to think back at the wonderful woman she was and how she helped shape our lives as children. She always opened her home to your friends and made us feel so welcome. I enjoyed running into her at various places in the village, we alwys stopped and talked. Please let us know if we can do anything to help you through this difficult time. Bill is still blessed with his mother Wanda, but both my parents are gone now. I know how you feel. Love always, Bill and Sandy Daniel.

I fondly remember Mary Alice (and Goble) when I delivered produce to the Center in the '80s. She was always so friendly and had a good word. And many times she would find a stray sandwich for me. :)
Thank you Mary Alice.

Mary Alice cooked at the Phi Mu Sorority house when I attended Marshall. I used to bus tables and clean up after dinner. She was a wonderful lady. I remember fondly sitting at the kitchen table at lunch chatting with her. One semester I had class on Saturday, she cooked breakfast every other Saturday, she would bake a WHOLE pan of biscuits and have gravy for me when I can home from class. Another time she took my scuffed up combat boots home for her husband to polish. I have many fond memories of Mary Alice. She WILL be remembered by me. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Goble and Mary Alice are special to me. My dear Great Uncle and Aunt. Through the years it has been a blessing to enjoy visits with them(not near enough of them though) Now she is with my dear GrandMother in the Glories of Heaven, at the Blessed Lord and Saviors Throne beholding the Beauty of His face and they with our beloved Daughter Elizabeth.

Mary Alice was also the cook at the Phi Mu sorority house in Huntington (Marshall) for many years. She was much more than a cook, however: she was our beloved surrogate mother, our confidante and co-conspirator in several pranks! I loved spending "chat time" in our kitchen with both Alice and Goble, and I am a better person for having known them. My heartfelt sympathy to Goble and the whole family.

Mary Alice was a cook at the Phi Mu house when I was living there in the '70's. It is hard to know what to say. She was a wonderful friend, influence and home away from home mom to all of us. I am grateful she was a part of my life. May you find peace knowing that God is with you.
