Maurine Rozella Doyle Bottoms

1925 - 2013

Maurine Rozella Doyle Bottoms, 87, died March 7, 2013 at her residence in Silsbee. She was born June 19, 1925 in Sylvan Beach, Tx to Harry and Millie Holmes Doyle.

Mrs. Bottoms was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Past Worthy Matron and was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in Silsbee.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Bottoms; her parents; son Michael Doyle Bottoms; grandson Jeremy Bottoms; great grandson Collin James Bottoms; brothers Richard Hudson and Charles Hudson and sisters Roselyn Richardson and Catherine Dickey.

Mrs. Bottoms is survived by her sons, Dr. Farland Bottoms and wife Janis of Littleton CO and Rev. Chris Bottoms Sr. and wife Patricia of Silsbee; daughters Judy Hensley and husband Ron and Marleen Land and husband Bill, all of Silsbee; brother Harry J Doyle of Port Acres; twelve grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bottoms will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Farmer Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Texas Home Health Hospice and Dr. Maria Blahey.

I just recently heard of Aunt Maureen's passing from my sister. The world has lost a wonderful kind-hearted lady who always made you feel special and lifted your spirits with smiling laughter, She was an inspiration to us all. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

I was searching for an address to send a birthday card to my Aunt Maureen when I found this memorial site for her. My, my,such a loss of a wonderful person in this world.Even though I have not seen her for over 30 years, the memory of her warm-hearted laughter and positive outlook on life have stayed with me and...those memories will not be forgotten.

Aunt Maurine was truly an amazing women. No one could have loved her family more. She was the most loving woman I know and definitely influenced my life in so many ways. I will truly miss her, but know she is rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord.

Some of my best memories from my childhood were times we spent with Aunt Maurine and her family. I appreciate so much that she travelled to Arkansas to see my mom Roselyn before her final surgery. I am cheered by the thought that we will all be reunited one day in heaven. Love to all.
