Irene Tucker Beard Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1918 - 2013 Graveside services for Irene Tucker Beard, 93, of Silsbee will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Campground Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home. Mrs. Beard died March 6, 2013 at the Arboretum in Winnie. A native of Woodville, Irene was a long time resident of this area. She worked as a sales clerk for Maidas Dress Shop before retiring and was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Silsbee. She is preceded in death by her parents John H. Kirby Tucker and Muggie Fortenberry Tucker and brother Carrol Tucker. Irene is survived by her husband Samuel Beard of Silsbee; sons Lonnie Beard and wife Edie of Dayton and Tommie Beard of Silsbee; two grandchildren, Lonise Lawrence of Mt. Belvieu and Jeremy Beard of Silsbee and four great grandchildren.

Lonnie, I am saddened to hear of Irene's passing and am keeping you in my prayers. I thought so much of your mom Lonnie, she was a wonderful lady.

Irene was a very sweet lady. She was my grandmother's neighbor but I remember her best working at Maida's Shoppe and the good visits all the ladies there would be having went you went it. May God comfort her family now and in the many days ahead.
