Uncle Art was one of the kindest, sweetest, most laid-back men I've been privileged to know. I have so many good memories of him and Aunt Betty throughout my life. I am so glad that God sent him to our family. Wish I could be there with you during this time, but happy to know we will see him again. Love you all.

I watched with facination as Art and his fellow crew members rolled those hot metal billets into wire coils in the old Merchant Mill, never imagining Art would later become my daughter's father-in-law. We have since spent many happy times together at family picnics and dinners. Good-bye for a while, Art, I'll catch up with you later in Heaven.

My fondest memories are of the long walks he would take us (children) on in the Southern Hills bordering the Ohio River Valley; running ahead of him through the green pasture fields and splashing through the creek beds chasing butterflies. Of all the adults in my life growing up, he was one of the few that never raised his voice to me in anger; a kinder gentler man I have never known.
