1931 - 2013

Charles J BreauxFuneral services for Mr. Breaux will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

God slipped Charles into Glory on April 1, 2013 through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Charles, 81, was the youngest son of Oliver Jordan and Gladys Edwina Schmidt Breaux. He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart, Valerie Walters Breaux, whom he married on November 22, 1951 and to whom he was married for 50 years, 3 months and 5 days. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Carrol and Harrold, two sisters, Teano Dacus and Allie Lee Burden, his granddaughter, Jessica Lynette Breaux and his great-granddaughter, Hope Elizabeth Pastusek.

He is survived by his new love of 7 years and 9 months, Carol Kunk Breaux, one sister, Geneva Katherine Breaux Kirkland; his children, Vickie Molley and husband Jamie, Lisa Hilgemeier and husband Greg, Charles Kenward (Kenny) Breaux and wife Robin, Janet Kunk McDonald and husband Rusty and Nancy Kunk; grandchildren, Ian Morris and wife Katrina, Evan Morris and wife Sara, Aaron Morris, Olivier Morris, Anna Hilgemeier Pastusek and husband John, Elise Hilgemeier, Adam Hilgemeier and fiancee' Bri Robideau, Holly Hilgemeier, Jason Hilgemeier, Justin Breaux and wife Kristiny, Jordan Breaux and wife Britney, Jaina Breaux Shook and husband Blayke, Carl Kelley and wife Courtney, Bo Kelley and wife Christian, Lauren Kelley Williams and husband Josh, Megan McDonald Whigham and husband Chris, Brandi McDonald, Courtney Anderson Stanley and husband Jimmy and Joseph Anderson and great grandchildren Kael Morris, Tailyn Morris, Rylee Morris, Kathryn Morris, Genevieve Morris, Sophia Pastusek, Ava Pastusek, Bradley Breaux, Jessica Breaux, Elizabeth Breaux, Reigan Shook, Rylan Shook, Jade Kelley, Hillary Kelley, Audrey Kelley, Landon Kelley, Kennedy Harrison, Cody Harrison Jr, Jude Stanley and Averie Anderson. He is also survived by many well-loved nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews and many, many friends.

Pallbearers are his grandsons Ian Morris, Evan Morris, Justin Breaux, Jordan Breaux, Aaron Morris, Adam Hilgemeier, Olivier Morris and Jason Hilgemeier. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Black, Reggie Bodmer, Corbit Jones, Larry Keith, Earl Kirchhoff, Merle Kirchhoff, Alvin Morgan, Bobby Sherrod, Doug Willett, Joe Williams, Doug Hudo, Carl Kelley, Bo Kelley, Joseph Anderson, John Pastusek, Jimmy Stanley, Josh, Williams and Chris Whigham.

Charles always said that if you made one true friend in a lifetime, you were a rich man. His honorary pallbearers show his wealth. One of them taught him to fly a plane and earn his pilot licenses, and all of them always came to his aid whenever he needed them. Charles cherished these friends and family above all else in this world. He never had nor wanted excess comforts, but anyone who knew the man said that Charles was wealthy beyond most people's understanding.

Charles lived in Silsbee from high school until 2010, where he was an electrician by trade and enjoyed the skill. He loved spending time with his family. He retired in 2010 to the hill country in Boerne, where he enjoyed a peaceful home on Balcones Creek watching wildlife and woodworking. Charles hopes he is remembered well and says, "So long". He was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
