Funeral services for Gerald Antley, 65, of Evadale, will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Morse Cemetery in Buna with full military honors. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 pm until time of service.
Mr. Antley died April 4, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Bastrop, LA, Gerald was a lifelong resident of Evadale. He was retired military and honored as the recipient of the Purple Heart while proudly serving his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Evadale.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, J B Roebuck and Juanita Earnestine Lum Antley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley Richardson Antley of Evadale; sons Shelby Lance Antley and wife Tammie of Silsbee and Christopher Ryan Antley and wife Crystal of Evadale; sisters Charlotte Black and husband George of New Braunfels and Karen Moore and husband John 'Bubba' of Vidor; grandchildren Lindsay Antley, Joshua Antley, Jacob Antley, Caitlyn Antley and Shalyn Antley; numerous nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
Gerald was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
