Norma Lavenia Davidson Bertram, 88, of Montgomery, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, Wednesday April 10 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Antioch Cemetery in Buna.
Born in Whitewright, Texas, Norma was a long time resident of Buna. She was a homemaker and former sales associate for several retail stores. Norma was a loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma, aunt and friend who loved sewing, fishing and spending time with her family. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Buna. Norma was also a member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas where she was proud to tell everyone about her Whitaker ancestors.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of almost 64 years, Raymond Bertram, parents Eric and Robbie Whitaker Davidson, and brothers Wade and Charles Davidson.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Meier and husband Jim, and Janet Bertram, all of Montgomery; grandchildren, Wendy Cipriano and husband Rufus of Willis, Mona Hall of Spring, Raymond Hall of Spring; great-grandchildren Luke and Michael Cipriano, Zachary Harrison, Peyton, Hayden, and Abigail Hall, brother-in-law Clin Fontenot of Buna and sisters-in-law, Irene Davidson of LaFeria and Wanda Bertram of Kingsland. Many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends also survive.
Pallbearers will be Hugo Richter, Luke Cipriano, Rufus Cipriano, Tony Meier, Leslie Ross and Chris Melancon.
Family has asked that memorials for Norma be sent to Evangelists Danny and Pam Long, 2171 County Road 259, Florence, Alabama 35633.
