William Christopher Mann, 51, of Denver, NC, formerly of Scottown, Ohio passed away suddenly on May 3, 2013. Born on October 16, 1961 in Cabell County, WV, he was the son of William Edwin Mann and Donna Ward Stewart. He was employed as an electrician at Freightliner in Mt. Holley. He previously was the owner of Race City Pit Service of Troutman for 11 years. Chris attended Lawings Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden, NC. He was a firefighter and EMT in Windsor Township Volunteer Fire Department. Chris is survived by his wife, Gloria Bowden Mann of Denver; father Ed Mann of Scottown, Ohio; mother Donna Stewart of Denver, NC; son Christopher Mann Jr. and his wife Tasha of Denver, NC; daughters Christina Baldwin and her husband Josh of Chapmanville, WV and Carli Turner of Charlotte NC; grandchildren Caleb Mann, Emilee Mann, Walker Baldwin; sister Kimberly Rice of Denver, NC, Lori Johnson and husband Robbie of Cherryville, NC; brother Edwin Mann of Scottown, Ohio; brother-in-law David Bowden of Gastonia, NC; four nieces; four nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Cleo Watson. Burial will follow in Mann Cemetery Scottown, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday May 7, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association or the Lawings Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Chris.
