1939 - 2013
 Arty Gene Williamson, 74, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born March 24, 1939 in Big Creek, WV son of the late Rush and Inez Williamson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Marcum Williamson; a son James Edward Kirk; a brother Edward H. Williamson; a sister Dolly Dee Lucas; grandparents Albert and Polly Williamson, Monroe Workman, Lonnie and Laura Brumfield. He is survived by his wife Dortha Blevins Williamson; a son Clint V. Williamson; grandchildren Brad Williamson, Blake Williamson, Maggie Elizabeth, Hunter Kirk, Justin Swann, and Jared Swann; great-grandchildren Samuel Lowe Williamson and Ruth Ann Williamson; brothers Roger (Kathryn) Williamson, Monroe (Dottie) Williamson, Neal (B.J.) Williamson, and Leonard C. Williamson; sisters Molly Ramey, Carolyn Fraley and Shelia (Ed) Burns; brother-in-law Dillard Lucas; and sister-in-law Betty Williamson. Arty was a devoted man to family and friends and he enjoyed talking and teasing with a host of family and friends. He was a member of Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Carl Lilly. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Huntington or a charity of ones choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall. |

We are so sorry about AG's passing, we loved it when he would stop by and have those long porch talks with daddy on those summer days. He was such a good man and always there to lend a helping hand. May God bless you all and know that we are praying for you.

Dortha,
I cannot begin to imagine how difficult it is to separate this way from your mate. Please know that I will hold you in my prayers and trust that God's Plan includes weathering the storms as well as the joys of living. God will never leave you even though the journey gets difficult.

Clint, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I will be praying for you. I remember when "me and Bobbi and the gang would "cruise" by your house all the time and your Dad would smile, wave and roll his eyes!". He knew he had a good looking son! I have known AG since I was 7 years old. Spent a lot of my childhood in his home. He was a good neighbor, always there if you needed something, or just someone to talk with. Dortha, Clint I am so sorry for your loss.
