Funeral services for Marshall Dwight Gore, Sr., 82, of Silsbee, will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Gore died May 15, 2013 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, Marshall was a longtime rancher. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Army.

Mr. Gore is preceded in death by his parents, W K 'Bill' and Ada R Eason Gore, sister Lorraine Paine and brother Vernon C Gore.

Survivors include sons Dwight Gore Jr. and wife Pam of Lumberton, Kyle Gore and wife Johnnie of Caneyhead; daughters Kimberly Gore of Silsbee and Melanie Gore of Grayson LA; sisters Maxine Gilmore, Doris Jeffcoat and Eloise Bean, all of Silsbee; grandchildren Robert Bush, Adam Jeffcoat, Andrew Gore, Valirie Starnes, L Cpl Wade Gore, Kenley Comeaux and Shy Ann Hatten and several great grandchildren.

Dwight - I just found out about your father, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family. I still get the Silsbee Bee, but I receive it a week later. I am remembering all the good times at Little Big Horn! Take care.

We loved Marshall and thought the world of him. We have many fond memories that we will always cherish. Marshall will be missed greatly. Our deepest sympathies.
