Louis Monroe Allen Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1927 - 2013 Funeral services for Louis Monroe Allen, 85, of Woodville will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Sunday prior to the service. Mr. Allen died May 21, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin. Born in Beaumont, he was a long time resident of Woodville. Louis retired from Woodville ISD where he worked in maintenance. He is preceded in death by his father Percy Allen, brothers Percy Allen Jr and Edison Allen and sister Evelyn Werner. Mr. Allen is survived by his nephews, Paul Werner of Woodville, Phillip Werner of Vidor and James Werner of Vidor; best friend Johnny Barton of Woodville; cousin Betty Allen of Lumberton and numerous other cousins and friends.

My mother Odelle Hargraves met Mr Allen at Woodville Convelescent Center a few weeks ago. Mr. Allen touched her life with his friendship. He is sorely missed! Somewhere over the great divide, beyond the furthest shore, your loved one has taken his final ride and found peace at Heaven's door. We offer our prayers and sympathy in your time of sorrow.
