James W. SayerJames Wayland Sayer, 80, went home to be with his Lord on Monday May 27, 2013. Born in Del Rio, Texas he was the son of the late Russell and Lora Sayer and was a 1949 graduate of Del Rio High School. James proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He then attended The University of Texas. He spent the majority of his career working for Motorola and Texas Instruments before returning to Del Rio to run the family business at Sayers Garage. He was proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers, Loren and Kenneth Sayer.

James is survived by his brother Robert Sayer of Rockwall,TX, nephew Loren Sayer Jr. of Del Rio, Niece Esther Meester of Kansas, Niece Sharon Salowski of Rock Wall and niece Lora Ybarra of San Antonio. He is also survived by 16 grand and great nieces and nephews.

Military graveside services to be held at 2:45PM, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX., with Pastor Elliott officiating the services.
