Wilkie Travis Scott, 78, of Bellefontaine, died at 9:55 AM Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home.

He was born December 11, 1934, in Ransom, KY, a son of the late Woodrow and Virgie Whitt Scott. He was also preceded in death by Half Brother; Kenny M. Scott and a Half Sister; Bunny K. Delawder.

On January 25, 1986, he married Jean W. Stiltner in Logansville and she survives. Other survivors include a Son; Wilkie Douglas Scott, and a Daughter; Virgenea Rena (Troy) Stamper both of Milan, MI, a Step Son; Jonah Lee Wilson of Pulaski, VA, a Brother; Jack (Golda) Scott of De Graff, two Sisters; Peggy Rose of Kingsport, TN and Patsy McClure of Sidney, a Half Brother; Teddy R. Scott of Irvine, KY and two Half Sisters; Judy Carol Good of Baltimore, MD and Dorothy Steele of Irvine, KY, five Grand Children and several Great Grand Children.

He was a retired Job Setter at General Motors Corp. in Detroit, MI. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith and he enjoyed riding his motor cycle, playing guitar and singing.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with Elders Paris Blackburn and Carman Gillum officiating. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 4 to 6 P.M.

I ALWAYS LOVED WILKIE, HE WAS A GOOD MAN, MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU. PRAISE GOD HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE. NO MORE PAIN NO MORE SORROW, NO TEARS WILL BE FOUND IN HEAVAN. LET US REJOICE IN JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. THE DOOR OF LIFE THAT WE KNOW HAS CLOSED FOR WILKIE AND THE DOOR OF ENTERAL LIFE HAS TAKEN HIM INTO A GREAT PLACE. THAT WE CANNOT EVEN IMAGAN THE GLORY AN BEAUTY OF HEAVAN. I PRAY WE WILL ALL MEET IN THAT GREAT CITY NOT MADE BY MORTAL HANDS ONE DAY. GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. AMEN
