Homer Edward Dillon, 78, of Proctorville, Ohio loved life and his family passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born March 9, 1935 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Homer Henry and Fleta Dillon; and sister Joan Auxier. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was owner of Thrift King of Ohio Supermarkets and was as an Ohio Surety Bail Bond Agent with Sowards Bail Bonds. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Trish Dillon; two daughters Trena (Gary) Sowards of Proctorville, Ohio and Anna Dillon of Proctorville, Ohio; one son Kevin (Melissa) Dillon of Proctorville, Ohio; six grandchildren Tanner, Kyle and Reilly Sowards, Katie, Megan, and Jake Dillon; one brother Tom Dillon of Proctorville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Black. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of Ashland, Hospice of Huntington, or The Gideons International.
