Jimmy Gus Lee Hawthorne, 66, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at home. He was born September 25, 1946 in Huntington, WV son of the late Charles Theodore and Virginia Goodall Hawthorne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Pamela Lusher; three brothers Jack Hawthorne, Charles Bobby Hawthorne and Mark Hawthorne. He retired from Ferrell Gas after 31 years of service. He is survived by three sons Jimmy Hawthorne, II of Chesapeake, Ohio, Bryan (Karen) Hawthorne of Crown City, Ohio and Eric Hawthorne of Proctorville, Ohio; five grandchildren Meghan, Alisha, Bryana, Michael and Jaydon; two great grandchildren Bentley and Jordynn; sister-in-law Pam Callicoat; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Megan Lusher; and one brother Oscar Hawthorne. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Roy Jones. Burial will follow in McCormick Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

To the Hawthorne family, we are sorry to hear of "Gus" passing. We knew Gus for over 40 years. My parents were the original owners of "BillMack's Diner" my wife and I worked there also and knew Gus from coming in to eat lunch. He was a funny guy. Will say a prayer for Gus and all his family.
