Military and Masonic honors and graveside services for William Earl Shelton, 83, of Kountze, will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2013 at Holland Cemetery in Kountze.
Mr. Shelton died July 17, 2013 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehab in Beaumont.
A native of Chicago, IL, he was a longtime resident of Southeast Texas. He retired from the Federal Reserve Defense Fleet in Beaumont where he worked as a maritime electrician. Mr. Shelton proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was a Merchant Marine and a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Shirley Watson Shelton of Kountze; daughter Teresa Mireille Shelton-Romero and husband Teddy of Manor; step-sons Curtis Watson and wife Elaine of Fort Worth, Allen Watson and wife Darlene of Nacogdoches and Steven Watson and wife Jenny of Nacogdoches; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
