1920 - 2013
 Thomas R. Thacker, 93, of Chesapeake, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, on August 7, 2013. He was the son of Charles and Jennie Nichols Thacker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; six sisters; one granddaughter, Angela Justus; one grandson, Jeffery Thacker; and one daughter-in-law Ruth Byrd Thacker. He was the last survivor of his siblings. Tom was a member of 10th Avenue Church of God, a retired machinist at Allied Chemical, South Point, Ohio and served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Juanita McQuaid Thacker; and children, Brenda Joyce (Robert) Onderdonk of Ft. Myers, FL, Carl (Marcella) Thacker of Glenwood, WV,and Charlotte Justus of Chesapeake, Ohio; grandchildren Rhonda Justus and Robin Kinzel who along with Charlotte were his care givers; Carla Wormington, Daniel Tuttle, Carl Thacker, Jr. and Dana Futrell; 15 great grandchildren including Taylar and Nick Nixon, who were his caregivers as well; one great great granddaughter; and expecting a great great grandchild in March; and a special friend, Owen Jenkins. A special thanks to the following for their loving care during Tom's illness Advantage Home Health of South Point, Ohio, The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, and great niece Melissa Brown. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Darrell Buttram, Pastor Terry Wagner, and Owen Jenkins. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
