Paul David Walter, 56, of North Haledon, NJ, formerly of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Paul was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a graduate of Hickman Mills High School, Metropolitan Community College and Park University. Paul was an n accomplished musician and spent his life putting smiles on the faces of everyone he met with his drumming, angelic voice and wonderful sense of humor. Paul performed in many bands throughout his career including Hearts of Fire, The Franklin Mint, Bonsoir and most notably, The Lettermen.
He is the beloved husband of Kaye (nee Fowler), cherished son of Bettey Walter of Kansas and Joe and Rose Walter of Missouri, dear brother of Craig Walter of Missouri, loving brother-in-law of Donna and Rusty Gore and Jay Fowler, caring son-in-law of Mary Harrington, honored uncle of Trent McCauley, Nicki Jeffcoat and Chuck McCartney of Fred, Texas.
Paul was loved deeply by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 4:30 pm Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
