Malene McDaniel StellyMALENE MCDANIEL STELLY

Malene McDaniel Stelly, age 81, died August 17, 2013 at her residence in Silsbee.

Youngest child of Willis Archile and Marcilia LeBlanc McDaniel she was born in Pine Prairie, Evangeline Parish, Louisiana on August 31, 1931. Orphaned of both parents at age 4 years old she was raised in the foster home of Mr. and Mrs. Esparaa Breaux in Jennings, Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jean Stelly; sisters Onesia McDaniel, Lorice Brown, Merisse Begnaud Pansano and Joyce Meaux Loggins; brothers Wilfred Claud and Willis McDaniel (twins), Regile David McDaniel, Eulisse Marius McDaniel, Marshal McDaniel and Joseph Edius McDaniel.

She is survived by an adopted son Kevin Paul Stelly and wife; grandchildren Devin Lee Stelly , Michael Stelly, Jamie Cox, Jacquelene Ferguson and Joseph Stelly all of Silsbee; one brother Everton McDaniel and wife of Metairie, Louisiana; nephew David McDaniel and wife Donna of Houston; great niece Jeanete Petitt and husband John of Silsbee and Kimberly McDaniel King and husband Todd of Louisiana; great great nephew Matthew Foyil and wife Sharon of Saratoga, great great nieces Charity Crain and husband Justin of Washington and two more in Louisiana and four great great great nephews and five great granchildren Seth, Cimberly, Raymond, Aaliyah and Trinty Ann.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 pm.

The family would like to thank Mary Landers who took such good care of Malene for many years and a special thanks to Texas Home Health Hospice.

Sweet Malene & my mother[Edna Kelley] were good friends.They would talk & laugh almost daily.I am so sorry for your loss of such a gracious woman. what a reunion in heaven these two ladies must be having. my prayers are with you as you deal with your loss.
