Alma L. Smith, 82, of Ashland, KY formerly of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Carter Nursing Home. Alma was born October 16, 1930 in Huntington, WV, daughter of the late Thelma Barcus and Frank Kitchen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willis Smith; one brother Donald Napier; and one great granddaughter Kaylin. She is survived by three children Lisa (Jerry) Thompson of South Point, Ohio, Randall (Marsha) Smith of Jacksonville, NC and Libby (Lawrence) Steele of Ashland, Ky.; three grandchildren Tiffany Singer of Huntington, WV, Randi (Chuck) Connolley of Jacksonville, NC, and Bradley Smith of Charleston, WV; five great grandchildren Dustin, Landon, Joseph, Noah, and Paden. Funeral service will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor R.L. Smith. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio.
