I will miss seeing Vernon as he was always walking along. He has helped me putting groceries in my car at Brookshire. He was always so friendly to all he met. He will be greatly missed by the rese dents of Silsbee. He is now walking the streets of gold.

Everywhere I go I would always see Vernon and he always had a BIG smile to share. When I worked at the donut palace he would come in and we would talk and joke around and one day I told him I have a new addiction and he asked, what is it? I said strawberry whoppers, which is weird because I hate strawberry. From that day on, Everyday he would walk to wal-mart and buy me a box of them because the dollar didn't have them.

Vernon you will be greatly missed. Your strong will, determination & big smile, will always have a safe place in my heart. I know you have finally found a place to lay your head & rest your tired feet. The family will be in my prayers.
