James William Nash Sr.Funeral services for James William Nash Sr., 73, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Friday, October 4, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Nash died October 1, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

A native of Mt. Carmel in Tyler County, James was a longtime resident of Silsbee. He was a pipefitter by trade and worked at Unocal. Mr. Nash proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Benjamin and Alene Brown Nash, son James W Nash Jr., brothers Mack Nash, Gordon Nash and Paul Nash; sister Thelma Maltese and son-in-law David Freeman.

Survivors include his daughters Kim Taylor and husband Royce of Groves, Sabrina Freeman of Lake Charles, Rebecca Nash of Silsbee and Cynthia Burt and husband Scott of League City; brother Ray Nash and wife Judy of Mauriceville; sisters Jerry Allen and Marie Winters, both of Colmesneil; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Becky and CIndy. I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad but I am quite positive the apple didnt fall far from the tree. YOu both are the most amazing women I know and Becky I love you dearly. This year has been tough on you and I promise there is a reason. You are one of the strongest women I know. I am blessed to have you in my life.

Bill was such a wonderful person and he will be missed by all. I have so many memories of him coming to Vidor to visit my grandfather, mom, and aunts, I know we all thought of him as part of our family. May God give you strength and surround you with His love through this time. Love and prayers from the Granger Family.
