Dee Wooler at the age of 85 passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at a local care center. She was born on September 19, 1928 in Dublin, Texas to Thomas Palmer and Velva Webb Palmer. Dee and Chuck volunteered endlessly and supported the Commemorative Air Force, Chapter of Tex Hill Wing. She did anything she could to help out, Like running and setting up the PX at the Air Show. They traveled all through the country in their motor home, making fun memories with each other. They traveled also to far away places like Austria, Germany, England, Rome, Florence, Venice, Netherlands and Hawaii twice. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and a avid reader. Dees daughters got her hooked on reading and got her to read the Twilight series and she loved it so much she read the all twice. As a young mother she sewed clothes for her children and passed that talent onto her daughters. Through the last 68 days of Dees life Renee was diligent at staying with her and took great care of her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Velva Palmer and grandson Matthew Brown.
Dee is survived by her husband of 34 years Charles Wooler of Kerrville, Texas; sister Bobbie Prather of Alvin, Texas; four children Deena Brown and husband David of Cypress, Texas, Renee Phillips and husband Steve Van Patten of Kerrville, Texas, Pam Glidden and husband Gary of Dickinson, Texas and Doug Dodson of Houston, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends who love her will miss her.
