Funeral services for Raymond Gerald McDonald, 81, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Church of Christ, Hwy 92 North, with interment following with military honors in Swearingen Cemetery in Warren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home.
Mr. McDonald passed away October 25, 2013 at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Nederland, Raymond was a lifelong resident of this area. He worked as a supervisor for Eastex paper mill for 44 years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and an elder since 1995.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Elinore Peewee McDonald; parents Jake and Elma McDonald; brothers Harold McDonald and Doyle McDonald and sister Bobbie Jean Laughlin.
Survivors include his wife Susan McDonald of Silsbee; sons Gerald Butch McDonald and wife Charline of Silsbee, Terry McDonald and wife Karen of Lumberton and Gary McDonald and wife Rowena of Silsbee; step-son Colen Mann and wife Julia of Silsbee; step-daughter Jennifer Curtis of Silsbee; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; four great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
