Elouise Schuler Poshataske, 96, died at Magnolia House in Natchez, Mississippi, October 27, 2013. Born in Somerville, Texas, Sept. 23, 1917, she was the daughter of John Henry Schuler and Augusta Brandl Schuler. She resided most of her life in Silsbee, Texas, where, in 1941, she married Dr. Wallace Joseph Poshataske and raised her family. She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church (formerly All Souls Catholic Church) for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Lorita Rivet, and her brother, John Henry Schuler, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Anelle Waguespack and husband, Perry, of Baton Rouge, La. and Jean Goldman and husband, Harry, of Waterproof, La.; her three grandsons, Chris Waguespack and wife, Allison, of Irvington, New York, Michael Waguespack of Baton Rouge, La., and Jeff Goldman and wife, Amanda of New Orleans, La.; her granddaughter, Karen Goldman, of Monroe, La.; her three great grandchildren, Eva Waguespack, Holden Waguespack, and Jackson Carneal Goldman; one sister, Mildred Slavik; two nephews, John Schuler and Ron Swirk; and one niece, Nancy Serio.
Visitation will be at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Nov. 10. A funeral service, with Rev. Vanderholt officiating, will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont. Pallbearers will be Chris Waguespack, Michael Waguespack, Jeff Goldman, John Schuler, Harry Goldman, and Stewart Chisum.
