Carmelita Chapman, 65, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She is survived by one son Shane (Monisa) Chapman of Huntington, WV; three grandchildren Alex Chapman, Destiny Ferguson and Christian Chapman; and one brother Jeffry Bolden. She was a member of New Life Church, Huntington, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Josh Huffman. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Shane, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I still remember her from when we were in school together. I always remember her being at functions at Fairland. I hope all of your memories will help ease your pain. May she Rest In Peace. Thinking of you in your time of Saddness.

John and I were Blessed to be Carmelita's neighbor. She was such a sweet and humble woman. We were so Blessed to have known such a great lady. I know she is pain free and walking on a cloud in heaven right now. We will miss her so very much.

I did not know Carmelita very well as she was 3 yrs. older than me..but, we grew up together on Sandusky Road and she always had a smile and a kind word for other kids on the school bus or when ever I would see her out..I pray for comfort for her family and close friends..God Bless you all...
