Funeral services for Billy Wilkerson, 73, of Evadale will be 3:00 pm Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilkerson passed away at his residence October 31, 2013.
A native of Bessmay, Billy was a lifelong resident of this area. He belonged to Ironworkers Local 125 and worked construction. Mr. Wilkerson was a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in Buna.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie 'Buck' and Violet Gilchriest Wilkerson and brother Bobby Wilkerson.
Survivors include his loving wife Shirley Sirmons Wilkerson of Evadale; daughters Terri Godeaux and husband Harry of Vidor and Kim Sonnier and husband Thomas of Mauriceville; sisters Patsy George and husband Eugene of Vidor and Peggy Bingham and husband Norman of Evadale; grandchildren Josh Godeaux, Cory Godeaux and wife Sherry, Maddie Godeaux, Jarrod Sonnier and Logan Sonnier and great grandson Matt Godeaux.
