Mary Jane Powell, age 82, was born April 19, 1931 in Burkeville, Texas and died November 17, 2013 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at Calvary Baptist Church in Silsbee with interment following at Wood Cemetery in Burkeville. Visitation will be Friday November 22 at Farmer Funeral Home from 5pm to 9pm.
Mary Jane was born in Burkville, Texas to Joe and Mary Fowler and had lived in Silsbee 35 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Silsbee.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Powell.
Survivors include her daughter, Debora Carrol Stark of Silsbee; sisters, Dortha Stewart and husband Randall of Burkeville and Sylvia Jarrell of Evans, Louisiana; niece, Catherine Purser and her husband Dale and their children Sydney and Bailey of Tyler, Texas; niece, Karen James and her husband Gill and their children Breena and Trey of Leesville, Louisiana; niece, Ranea Jones and her husband Romone and their children Greg and Kirstie of Leesville; nephew, Gary Jarrell and his wife Brenda of Evans, Louisiana; and nephew, Eric Jarrell and his wife Dena and their children Cade and Cody.
