Fred Black, 64, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born December 7, 1948 in Huntington, WV. son of Wanda Black Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio and the late Chester Black. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step father Bill Hayes; and two brothers Don and Tony Black. He was chef and owner of Bill Mack Diner. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Barbara Black; one son Mike White; one daughter and son-in-law Christina and Donovan Adkins; four grandchildren Jacob, Erin, Breana and Cierra; and numerous other family members and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio by Pastor Buddy Muncy and Pastor George Holley. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Barb, so so sorry to hear about Fred. He was such an awesome, kind and loving person. I could see how much he loved you. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed all the family gatherings. I pray you find peace in knowing where he is now and that you will be back with him one day. God is the one that helps us through these trying times and I know he will be there for you.
