Doris Bloomer Pickens Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1919 - 2013 Doris Bloomer Pickens, 94, of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday November 30, 2013 at St. Marys Medical Center. She was born October 31, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, J. Lee Pickens; a brother Jack Bloomer; and sister Marion Bloomer. She is survived by three daughters Jacqueline Haggerty; Marilyn Mueller, and Patricia (Troy) Tackett; four grandchildren, Jeffery, Eric, Sarah, and Seth; two great grandchildren, Parker and Emery; one brother Roy (Ruth) Bloomer; and one sister Adeline (John) Mitchell. She was a member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. My deepest sympathy. I had several talks with her and she had such good memories of her husband and her family. I enjoyed her company during Circle meetings at Highlawn Presbyterian Church.
