1926 - 2013
 Myrtle Ruth Rood, 86, of Proctorville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday December 1, 2013. She was born December 8, 1926 in Huntington, WV to the late George Washington and Minnie Watts Pinkerton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; four brothers; two step sisters; and son-in-law Ernest B. Hall Jr. Myrtle is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Ernest Ralph Rood; three loving children Ralph D. (Patricia) Rood, Phillip E. Rood and friend Brenda Adkins, and Clorinda G. Hall; six loving grandchildren, Christopher (Mandy) Rood, Ernie III (Tara) Hall, Amy (Kevin) Stowasser, Ericca (Ben) Workman, Evan (Jodi) Hall, and Summer Boyd; nine precious great grandchildren; Tori, Lexi, Kali and E.B. Hall, Madi and Maci Workman, Isla Hall, Nathaniel Rood, and Brianna Stowasser; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Juanita Rowe. Myrtle enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family. She fought a tremendous fight for a number of years and her race is completed. She truly loved her family and they will all miss her dearly. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday December 4, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Black and Rev. Eddie Salmons. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday December 3, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Chlorinda, Ralph, Ernie, Evan, Erica, and Family!
Way too soon, your family is touched yet again by the loss of a dear sweet member! We are deeply saddened by Myrtle's passing! She was such a wonderful and loving lady and we know she will be missed so very, very much by all who knew her and especially by all of you!
