Beverly Joyce Smith Morris Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1944 - 2013 Beverly Joyce Smith Morris, 69, of Buna died December 12, 2013 at Christus Dubuis Hospital, St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur, Beverly was a long time resident of Buna. She was an avid bowler and a member of Pooh's Pals Bowling Team, whose members were all very special to her. Mrs. Morris was a "people person" and enjoyed her job as a greeter at Walmart. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Olivia Tomplait Smith and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her beloved husband of 36 years, John Morris of Buna; son Barron Morris of Aransas Pass; daughters Brandi Reese and husband Lee of Evadale and Sarah Evandale of Midland; brothers Rufus Smith and wife Arlene and Donnie Smith and wife Lulu, all of Port Acres; sister Daisy Swanzy and husband Ray of Port Acres; God-daughter Jennifer Hallmark and husband Charlie of Nederland and God-son James Lehr of Buna; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with cremation following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christus Dubuis Hospital, St. Elizabeth or to the American Cancer Society.

it has taken me months to be able to come here and read this..thank you to everyone who took the time to visit here and rejoice in the memories of my mama. I miss her everyday,but i know she is still with me.

We are so sorry to hear of Beverly's passing. We worked with Bev for several years at Wal-Mart. She was always fun to be around. She was always pleasant and loved life and people. Most of all, she loved her family. She always had pictures to share and stories to tell. I will always remember how she loved M&M's. But gave them up when she found she had diabetes. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family.
