Loretta Shook Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1942 - 2013 Loretta Shook, born January 25, 1942, went home to Jesus on December 14, 2013. Loretta was born in Buna and was a longtime resident of this area. She graduated from Buna High School in 1960 and worked as a clerk for Southwestern Bell before retiring. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, John and Daphne Worsham Lester. Survivors include her adopted son and daughter Eddie and Chae Powell; grandsons Garrett, Wyll and DAngelo Powell and many precious neighbors and friends. The family would like to thank Altus Hospice and Dr. Schachner and staff with Cancer Center of Beaumont for their loving care of Mrs. Shook. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2013 at Morse Cemetery in Buna under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.

Loretta was our neighbor for over 30 years- Was a good friend and a good listener. I know she will be dearly missed by her neighbors & friends. She made the best chicken & dumplings I ever ate. God bless you Loretta, I love you.
