Elaine Kay (Collum) GlennFuneral services for Elaine Kay Collum Glenn, 98, of Vidor and formerly of Silsbee, will be 10:00 am Friday, December 20, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Silsbee. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm in Strong Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Glenn passed away December 17, 2013 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor.

A native of Center, Elaine was a long time resident of this area. She retired as manager of a coffee shop and was a member of First Baptist Church in Silsbee, where she enjoyed being part of the Sunshine Club.

Preceding her in death are her parents Homer and Ruby Bounds Kay; husband J B Collum; husband Walter E Glenn and daughters Shirley Collum Mills-Fischer and Fern Glenn; brother Louis Kay; and a sister Elese Clark.

Survivors include sons Phillip Collum of Houston and Walter Glenn and wife Linda of Kirbyville; daughters Patsy Yager of Metropolis IL, Betty Brister and husband Bobby of Vidor and Sherwin Doty and husband Harold of Yorktown; brother Bill Kay of Shelbyville; sisters Epsie Fernandez of Raleigh NC, Evelyn Milley of Houston, Bertha Lee Davidson of Conroe and Johnnie Castle of Shelbyville; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and eighteen great, great grandchildren.

I know that everyone will miss Mrs. Elaine very much. I only met her a few times, but kept up with how she was doing through Kay & Robbin. My prayers are with each of you.

We miss Elaine and Anne Jean. All our old class are gone. I will let Sally Diden know. She loved Elaine. I will not be able to attend the funeral. Dr. appt. Our prayers are with your family.
