 Joyce Marie Smith, 70, of Huntington, WV passed away Sunday December 29, 2013 at Cabell Huntington Hospital Huntington, WV. She was born December 24, 1943 in McDowell County, WV to the late John and Georgia Burks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Woodrow Adkins; daughter Julie Marie Adkins; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Dishman. She was a member of Norway Avenue Church of Christ and a member of Cabell Wayne Association of the Blind. Joyce is survived by a daughter Brenda Sue McComas of Huntington, WV; son Woody (Beverly) Adkins of Vale, NC; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Jeannie (Jerry) Miller of Arkansas; companion Ron Smith; two sisters-in-law Eva Short and Lena (Joe) Willard; brother-in-law Cecil Dishman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday January 1, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Garrett. Burial will follow in Adkins Family Cemetery Oak Hill, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall. |

I am so sorry about Joyce , I know you all loved her as we did at our office. She was always pleasant, in-spite of her health problems. She will be missed.
