I am so sorry for your loss. Colleen was such a good friend to me. I could call her after not talking for a few months and it was just like we had talked the day before. I will miss so much. I pray that you find comfort in your memories of her.

It is kind of a strange thing to work with someone for nearly 13 years and develop a friendship and feel a kind of sisterhood with someone whom you have only seen once! The result of this is that my co-worker and friend, Colleen, is truly in my heart and mind, and from that view cannot really be taken from me but I still miss her terribly. Just the idea, that when I fax my daysheet to her she will not pick it up and check it, (and call and ask me a question about something on it). -That, is unthinkable and it hurts. She was such a hard worker. She had a grace and ease about her when working, -organized, supportive and good at problem solving. She almost always had a solution for every problem - even sometimes that is wasnt that big a deal laugh a little and forget it! No doubt, she expects us to continue to get the job done. And I know that if we dont, -that first call we get, -once we are in heaven, will be her --asking a question about why didnt this get done? From my talks with Colleen, I know she was so proud of her daughter and son. (Good grades and horses, college and a good job.) This is such a difficult time; but your mother is smiling on you and things will be okay, (somehow). I know she is sending all the love she can and will always be proud of you. It seems like Colleen was taken from us on Christmas but she was a gift for all the Christmases we got to keep her.
