Funeral services for Herbert Seamans, 96, of Lumberton will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Crestwood Baptist Church in Lumberton with interment following in Seamans Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Seamans died January 9, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center of East Texas in Lufkin.
A native of Chester, Mr. Seamans was a long time resident of Lumberton. He retired from Southwestern Bell after holding many positions and proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents Valma and Nemma Seamans and wife Maxine Seamans.
Survivors include sons Kenneth Seamans and wife Rhonda of Huntington, Gary Seamans and wife Debbie of Huntington and Glenn Seamans of Lumberton; sister Imogene Stevens of Chester and six grandchildren, Travis, Matthew, Jacob, Staten, Christina and Nicholas.
