Kenneth Arthur Staudinger, age 80 of Greenville, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in East Grand Rapids. He was born November 18, 1933 in Kenosha, WI, the son of Florian and Elsie Staudinger. Ken retired from the former Lear Siegler Corporation after more than 42 years of employment. He had a lifelong love of aviation, and exercised this passion flying a private plane in and out of the Greenville Airport. He also enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes. He was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 1939 in Greenville, serving in many capacities and offices, including as Governor. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 4321. Ken is survived by his children, Connie (Warren) Blodgett of Sparta, Catherine (Jerry) Blodgett of Grand Rapids, and Craig (Janine) Staudinger of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Blythefield Memory Gardens, Belmont. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to the Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital.
