1920 - 2014
 Mrs. Wanda Marjeane Christensen, age 93, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Greenville. She was born February 23, 1920 in Greenville, the daughter of Burton and Erma (Thompson) Tuttle. In December 1939, she married Chester F. Christensen in Lansing. Wanda was a life member of the Order of the Easter Star, Crescent Chapter in Stanton. She enjoyed sewing. She was a farmers wife for most of her life, and a very hard worker. For the past ten years, she was a resident of the Green Acres Retirement Living Community in Greenville. Wanda especially loved her family, and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Caryl Ann (Phil) Collier of Sidney and Bryce (Kris) Christensen of Edmore; grandchildren, Vicki (Sam) MacDermaid of Belding, Diane (Al) Alexander of Dewitt, Jill Collier of Melbourne, FL, and Garrett Christensen of Middleville; great-grandchildren, Travis Andresen, Nick, Nate, and Devin Alexander, and Cody and Morgan Christensen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester F. Christensen; and brothers, Derwood and Kenwood Tuttle. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Hurst Funeral Home, with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the funeral. Rev. Jamey Nichols will serve as officiant. Private interment will be in North Sidney Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice. |

Steve and I wish to express our condolences to all of Wanda's family. It was our pleasure to get to know Wanda at Green Acres. I will miss her. She was always so eager to say hello and visit. We are currently not in Michigan, and regret that we will not attend funeral services. Please know that her loving and fun memory will live forever. Our thoughts are with you all. Love, Karlene
