Dale Wyatt LoyDale Wyatt Loy, 90, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Dr. Mark Conner. Entombment will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born May 1, 1923 in Greenville, OH, a son of the late Elmer and Mae Wyatt Loy. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in WW II, and was a retired branch manager of National Biscuit Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina K. Loy and his daughter-in-law, Carol Pagent. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Thomas Mabe of Daytona Beach, FL; his son, David Loy of Gilbert, AZ; his sister, Donna Pollack of Ohio; and his friend, companion, and spouse, Mary Mickel. The family would like to give special thanks to devoted caregiver, Linda Adkins. Dale was a longstanding member of the Cabell County Public Library Board of Directors, Kiwanis Club of Huntington, Past Governor of Kiwanis International, Goodwill Board, Food Bank, Newmans Own Second Harvest, Draft Board of West Virginia, Volunteer driver for the Veterans Administration, volunteer driver to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, American Planning Association, and American Legion Post # 177, Barboursville, and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Cincinnati, Millennium Lodge, #779, Dayton, OH and a member of S.C.O.R.E. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Sympathy and prayers to the family of Mr. Loy. During my time with the Wayne County Libraries I enjoyed my conversations with Mr. Loy very much. He will be missed.
