Wilma C. HullWilma Caroline Hull, age 85 of Bass Lake, Gowen, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Lowell. She was born June 15, 1928 in Andover, South Dakota, the daughter of Mathias and Julia (Wahl) Simonson. Wilma was a Kent County employee for many years, most as Executive Housekeeper at Kent Oaks Psychiatric Hospital. She loved to travel and loved woodworking. Her distinctive hearty laugh was easily recognizable by all who knew her. Wilma was preceded in death by Ernie Hull, her dear husband and the love of her life; and by ten siblings. She is survived by her dear friend, Maggie Priebe of Gowen; step-daughters, Ellen (Roger) Moore of Lowell and Ruth Wawee of Ada; step-grandchildren, Michael (Patrick LaCroix) Moore of Wyoming, Thomas (Jill) Moore of Caledonia, James (Laura) Moore of North Carolina, Chris (Klara) Patrick of Grand Rapids, Jennifer (Jon) Sommers of Grandville, and Elizabeth (Phil) Bott of Grand Rapids; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Dolly Jorgensen of California; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 21, 2014 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the funeral. Vicar Karen Ressel of Settlement Lutheran Church will serve as officiant. Private interment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be given to Settlement Lutheran Church.

Please accept our sympathy in the loss of Wilma. I (Donna) have enjoyed all the retiree lunches we have shared over the last 15 years. Sorry I am unable to attend the service.

She was a lovely woman. We will miss her smile and laughter. Through the tears and sadness we will smile because we know she is home pain free. Keep talking to each other and remember all the good times together. God Bless !!
