Donald Wayne SimpsonDonald Wayne Simpson, 79, of Quincy, died at 4:30 AM Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at his home.

He was born January 8, 1935, in Champaign County, a son of the late James Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Young Simpson.

On May 8, 1955, he married Goldie Jean Taylor in Urbana and she died February 17, 1992. He then married Phyllis Jean Leiberick in Sidney on August 23, 1993 and she died on May 9, 1997. He was also preceded in death by two Brothers; Norman and Jack Simpson and three Sisters; Vanda Parker, Helen Osborn and Deloris Simpson.

Survivors include a Son; James (Donna) Simpson of Panama City, FL, four Daughters; Patricia Myer of Erin, TN, Mary (Jerry) Pope of West Liberty, Karen (Randy) Hollinger and Debora (Tom) Mills both of Bellefontaine, seventeen Grand Children and twenty two Great Grand Children.

A Molder he worked at Sidney Aluminum.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, De Graff, where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2014 with Rev. Kymberly James officiating. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home.
