Cynthia, I just learned of the passing of your Mom. She was a teacher at Fairland when I was in HS, then we both taught at Hannan Trace. I really liked her and always looked forward to seeing her when in the area. So sorry for your loss.

Mary Evelyn taught so many children the love of music through-out her lifetime. What a blessing it was to have her as my music teacher at Fairland. Oh what an impression she made on so many lives. She will be missed by many, remembered by all.

Dear Cynthia, Katherine, and Vickie: I am so glad that Anna Mae sent me the notice of her death. She was my first band teacher and I just cannot believe that she took the time to give me lessons on the base horn with all she had to do. Being 89, that means she was only 28 when she put that band together. She did such a good job. much love roy e rood, tampa

Mrs. Holderby was one of my favorite teachers at Hannan Trace Elementary. She helped to spark my love for music at an early age. She saw something in me that others couldn't. I'll always remember her Christmas music programs and how she involved all of us in them. Her memory brings a smile to my face. A wonderful lady indeed.

Being a friend of her daughter and grand daughter I was pleased to meet Mary Holderby and experience her spirit and sense of humour that she obviously passed down to her family.
