William Earl Wyatt, Sr.Mr. William Earl Wyatt, Sr., age 79 of Sheridan, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born March 28, 1934 in Owensboro, KY, the son of George and Edna (Edgell) Wyatt. He was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Lester J. Sitts VFW Post 5065, Sheridan. William is survived by his children, William Ray Wyatt of Kentucky, William E. Wyatt, Jr. of Sheridan, James E. Wyatt of Indiana, Kitty F. (Gale) Phipps of Greenville, Kenny R. Raymond of Sheridan, Johnny R. Raymond of Sheridan, and William Edward (Jane) Wyatt of Stanton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, George Wyatt of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma L. Wyatt on January 4, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Eugene Wyatt; grandson, David Fitzgerald; and great-granddaughter, Megan Raymond. Funeral services will be held as 2:00 PM Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral. Pastor Ken Harger will serve as officiant, and military honors will be rendered under the auspices of the Lester J. Sitts VFW Post 5065, Sheridan. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lester J. Sitts VFW Post 5065, Sheridan.
