Sally, it's hard to believe. My prayers are with you and all the family. I've missed you both since you left California, but glad for you to have been able to be close to your family. Take comfort in them now, and God. Big Hug.

We can barely believe that someone so full of life and enthusiasm is gone. Our hearts break with each of you, but we know Chuck is with our Lord and Savior and what a promise and encouragment that is. Can you imagine Chuck's amazement and awe when entering heaven and the presence of His Savior. We grew up with Chuck and Karen in school and at church and were so close--so many wonderful and fun memories of school and church activities. Chuck was always one of the driving, enthusiastic forces behind these activities and making it fun. We had such good memories of Gitche Gumee in those years too. We are so sorry for your loss and have been praying for each of you--Chuck's parents and for each of you, his children. Because HE LIVES, we CAN face tomorrow! Gerald and Kati Goodell

Todd, Amber and Courtney So sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your father. Our family met your parents at Oakfield Baptist many years ago. I will always remember their zeal for the Lord and their cheerful and friendly spirit. May you draw near to the LORD and family for your comfort. "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." 1 peter 5:7

Dear Allen Family, My memories of Chuck go back to the mid 60's when our Kati, Karen and Chuck were members of that class of 16 year olds at Central Montcalm. Many of them celebrated the 16th birthday parties in their homes and enthusiastically enjoyed old-time parlor games. Chuck was often the life of the party. Such good, pure memories. Once the Allen family came to our home for a Sunday dinner. When they arrived at our door, Chuck presented me with a luscious pecan pie that he had made himself! He was an active, busy Christian youth at Stanton First Baptist and we appreciated him. May God annoint each of you with Jesus love, peace, and strength at the trying times.

Will miss this wonderful friend who would do anything for you! Blessed to have him for a greenhouse business partner, too! Lots of fun memories...but his quote of "work harder, work faster", most everyday would bring us all a smile :) Praying for God's comfort and strength to you Sally, Courtney, Amber, and Todd. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/guestbooks/grandrapids/charles-allen-condolences/170096415?page=2#sthash.83v5Avue.dpuf

Dear Allen family, Chuck was such an enthusiastic and friendly guy as I grew up a grade below him at Central Montcalm. He showed a desire to walk deeper with God too.
