Carl Petrie Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1949 - 2014 Carl Fuzzy Petrie, 64, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born March 15, 1949 in Huntington, WV son of the late Elmer Mitchell and Betty Jean Holley Petrie. He was a 1967 graduate of Huntington East High School. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran receiving the Purple Heart and a 37 year employee of Special Metals. He is survived by his wife Brenda Petrie; one son Shawn Petrie (Lora); six grandchildren Samantha, Haley, McKenzie, Madison, Preston and Jasmine. There will be no services. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Please accept my belated condolences. Carl, Marshall McComas and I joined the Army on the Buddy Plan, went to Basic Training & flew to Vietnam on the same plane, separated & luckily flew back home from Vietnam on the same plane. I was googleing their addresses for th 50 year HEHS 1967 Reunion. Both passed in 2014 and I suppose we still thought alike - as I too, plan on a Cremation, No Services & No Internment. I will be at a Dolin Family gathering July 8th. If any of you would like to meet & chat, please email, text or call me. I do NOT do Facebook, Twitter, etc. Carl was a GOOD GUY / PERSON / SOLDIER & FRIEND :). I am looking forward to his, Marshall & my Reunion on the Other Side :)

Brenda, I am so sorry to have read where Carl passed away. I hope you remember me, we worked together at the Answering Service. I pray your doing O.K and I will pray you have comfort during this time. Please accept my deepest condolences.
